ABOUT THE PROGRAM
From Scratch is our direct meal support program, providing chef-prepared meals and seasonal food distributions for individuals and families experiencing food insecurity, housing instability, or other moments of need. Rooted in our scratch-cooking philosophy, the program allows us to respond quickly and thoughtfully with meals that are nourishing, familiar, and prepared with intention.
Through From Scratch, UGK-CF supports a wide range of community needs — from holiday meals for seniors and families, to pre-packaged meals for individuals staying in temporary housing, to soups, breads, and prepared foods shared through trusted community partners. Each effort reflects the same belief: everyone deserves access to food that is nutritious, comforting, and made with care.
From Scratch gives UGK Community First the flexibility to meet people where they are, whether through one meal, a seasonal distribution, or ongoing support through a partner organization.
No matter the season or setting, our mission remains the same: to nourish bodies, support families, and strengthen our community through the power of good food made from scratch.
